We are excited to announce registration is now open for the 4th Annual UVa Innovation in Pedagogy Summit to be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. in Newcomb Hall. The Summit is designed to enlighten, inspire, and engage instructors from all disciplines about excellence in teaching and learning.

This year’s theme is “Making Learning Visible.” In the plenary session, photographer and educator, Martin Springborg, will make learning visible through an ongoing, national photographic essay on teaching and learning in higher education. He will involve UVa faculty featured in these photographs, who will share their reflections on what the pictures tell us about their pedagogical approach. In 21 outstanding breakout sessions, presenters from across the University and the Commonwealth will share their innovative approaches to engage students and foster learning. A number of these will involve collaborative presentations among instructors, graduate students, and/or undergraduate students.

For more information and to register, visit http://cte.virginia.edu/programs/annual-innovation-in-pedagogy-summit/. Registration for sessions and lunch is strongly encouraged because space is limited. Join us for a portion of the Summit or the full day, as your schedule permits.

The Innovation in Pedagogy Summit is sponsored by the Office of the Executive Vice President & Provost and a collaboration between the Center for Teaching Excellence, the College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, and the Curry School of Education.
